If I think of scarcity, I get scarcity. If I think of abundance, I get plenty of: Love and loved ones. Time and resources. Wisdom and creativity. Compassion and respect. Help and strength. Humor and laughter. Silence and peace of mind.
We tend to say “1 + 1 is more than 2”. Sounds good, but this story of endless growth and expansion produces a constant feeling of inadequacy. You always have to get something more. You are never allowed to be satisfied.
Is it possible to change the saying? “1 + 1 is less than 2” – a story of moderation, focus, composure, and cutting down carbon emissions. This story produces a constant feeling of adequacy.
You are already ok, but it doesn’t stop you from learning and progressing. In fact, it frees you up for continuous growth. There are no limits to spiritual growth.
This is enough. I am enough, as I am. We are enough, as we are. There is enough time. Used sparingly, there’s enough resources. Also for future generations.
